Tesla CEO Elon Musk is preparing to take an important step regarding Dogecoin, which he has ‘supported’ with social media messages for the last 1 year.
“Tesla will allow some of its products to be bought with Doge and will see how it goes,” the famous billionaire said on his Twitter account.
Dogecoin, which was around $0.16 before the announcement, saw $0.20 within 10 minutes. So Musk’s tweet earned 25 percent in 10 minutes.
Of course, for the rest of the day, it will be followed how long the positive effect of this statement will continue in Dogecoin.
PAYMENT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED
Elon Musk announced in March this year that Tesla started selling vehicles with Bitcoin. Sales with Bitcoin were originally made only in the USA. Musk said that this payment option will begin to be available in other countries over time.
However, about 2 months later, Tesla announced that it was suspending the sale of vehicles with Bitcoin on the grounds that its mining harms the environment. Although it has stopped its sales, Tesla has 43,200 Bitcoins as of the end of November.
