The conflict between Ukraine and Russia is becoming ever more dangerous. NATO is now assuming a full-scale Russian attack on the neighboring country.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in a TV interview: "No troops are being withdrawn, as Russia says, but new troops are being added." There are also signs that Russia is preparing to create a pretext for an attack.
Ukrainian minister attacked
During a visit to the front in Donbass, the delegation of Ukrainian Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky came under shell fire. The incident happened near the village of Nowoluhanske on the so-called line of contact, where the Ukrainian army and pro-Russian separatists face each other. The minister and the escorts had to take cover.
Immediately beforehand, the minister had given an interview to international media. The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe recorded 1,500 violations of the current ceasefire in the conflict zone on Saturday. This is a high this year. At least two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and four others injured by enemy fire on Saturday.
