Rumors had been circulating for months that it could be in the form of a helmet or goggles swirling around Apple Glass, mixing virtual reality and augmented reality.
First generation that could pose production concerns for Apple
Famous analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, who specializes in forecasts for the California brand, sent a new note to investors.
According to their sources, Apple would delay the launch of its product to the end of 2022 this year. Marketing was due shortly after the launch event, but we shouldn’t expect large stocks.
The analyst explains that the manufacturer already expects difficulties in mass production of its device, and deliveries will actually start from the first quarter of 2023.
The technologies used will explain these potential assembly problems. Ming Chi-Kuo has already posted a robot portrait of this headset that will feature three displays, including two micro LEDs and an OLED panel. The device will also have advanced sensors for detecting movements and the environment.
What remains is the question of price. Still, according to the analyst, Apple will charge a hefty price, which could be around $3,000 for this first-generation AR/VR headset.
