Google acquired augmented reality specialist North in June 2020. After the cancellation of augmented reality projects, employees of North company worked on projects such as Pixel and Nest within Google. However, it seems that Google is working on an augmented reality project again.
The New York Times, in its report on augmented reality, claimed that Google is working on a new augmented reality project. The project is also reportedly due to acquire North, but no further details are available. It is not known when Google’s augmented reality glasses will arrive after Google Glass.
