Apple’s plans for the next few months are slowly taking shape. After the iPhone SE+5G was called yesterday, it was the turn of the iPhone 14.
120 Hz for all?
According to the information shared by Jeff Pu, all versions of the iPhone 14 would qualify for a Promotional display with an adaptive refresh rate reaching 120 Hz.
Regarding the iPhone 13, keep in mind that only the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max have such a screen. The iPhone 13 and the mini have a 60 Hz panel. The next generation iPhone can thus offer an upgrade in this benchmark for the two cheapest models.
Still Ross Young plays the sinister bird and
It will be necessary to wait for the iPhone 15 to see the spread of 120 Hz screens. We will find out which of the two analysts is correct in a few months, the iPhone 14 is expected to be released in September 2022.
4 to 6GB of RAM
A better display wouldn’t be the only improvement the more modest iPhone 14 would benefit from. According to Jeff Pu though, all four versions of the smartphone will be based on 6GB of RAM. Again, to compare with the iPhone 13s, the standard and mini models have 4GB of RAM, while the Pro models have 6GB of RAM.
As you can tell, it would therefore not be an upgrade for the iPhone Pro. However, Jeff Pu previously relied on the iPhone 14 Pro with 8 GB of RAM. Finally, Apple would revise its ambitions downward.
Finally, know that Jeff Pu also gave some confidence about storage capacities and sensors. Apple thinks the iPhone 14s will offer a minimum internal storage capacity of 64GB compared to 128GB currently. On the other hand, Pro models will be offered directly with at least 256GB and will no longer be 128GB.
Finally, about the cameras, the iPhone 14 Pro would have at least a 48 MP sensor.
